Will these fit on my Subzero's?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys think that Sumitumo HTR+ in 235/40/17 will fit on my 17" Rota Subzero?

I want to go a little wider than the normal 225, so will these fit, and will most tire shops do it without problems? Will the tires buldge out?

Oleg

What's your wheel size? 235/40 usually fits on a 8" wheel. It really depends on that. Though you can double check here. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...o&model=HTR%2B

They are 17x7.5

We suggest 225's with 7.5" rims, although people have ran 235's on their 7.5" rim, however we don't sell them in tire packages like that because it is not recomeneded by most tire companies.

From TireRack.com spec page for the HTR+: 235/40-17 rim width: 8-9.5". So NO the 235/40-17 is not recommended for a 7.5" wide rim.

With 7.5s you will proabably rub against the strut if wearing 235s. I have 17x8 w/ 235/45 and I have less than 0.5" clearance. If you are lowered you will probabaly scrub the fender on hard turns too

I'm on Tien Coilovers, so yes I'm lowered. I guess I'll go with 225/45/R17 instead and reduce the chance of rubbing and hitting the struts.

235/40/17 will fit.

is it ideal... not on a 7.5 wheel... becuase you'll get the 'bulge' out effect... but it will work...

w/ the 48mm offset you shouldn't have any trouble fitting those 225 or 235 even if you are lowered.

I've got 235/45/17's on my rota tarmacs and prodrive springs on my 02. No rubbing. I'm using Falken Ziex 512's which were about 3/8s wider overall than the 225/45 ES100s I had on before. I probably will get my rears rolled though. It doesn't rub but, it's damn close. I checked th whole set up by jacking up various corners to try and get as much suspension compression in each corner. In the back there was about an 1/8" or so clearance at full compression. A little too close.
