Tirerack Speedline 2116 Wheels
A couple of questions for the Tirerack guys about these wheels and how they fit on a WRX:
1. What is the weight of these wheels in 17 X 7?
2. Will these wheels clear "typical" big brake kit upgrades?
3. I know that your fitment guide recommends 225/45/17s(which I prefer), but will that size be a tight fit making it more likely to damage the wheels when replacing the tires?
I'm looking to get a complete wheel and tire set (most likely RE750s), I just want a little more info on these wheels.
Thanks!
Dtech

Dtech,
The 2116 weighs 22.5 lbs and won't clear the Brembo GT 328mm 4 pot brake kit. Even though it's 7", I'd still recommend the 225 width tires. I like the look of them better than the 215s and there aren't fitment problems with the sedan or wagon.

Guess it's back to the drawing board looking for rims or I might still consider getting those Subaru OEM 17" X 7"s.
