The tire/road noise level in my STi is a bit much and I'm wondering if there are any user experiences with other types of tires? I'll be happy to lose the Bridgestones if I can get a quieter ride.

I certainly realize that the amount of sound deadening is low. I have put Dynamat Extreme in the trunk and under the rear seat to help. However, it there is less noise generated, there is less to get into the cabin which is why I'm asking about the tires. I had Kuhmo ECSTA MXs on my VW and they were very good. Anyone changed tires on their STi yet?

I put Michelin Pilot Sport A/S for the winter and they are definitely quiter then the RE070's. The don't handle anywhere near as well as the RE's did though, so keep that in mind.
