SSR Comps can be restored?
I stored some SSR Comps in a damp garage all winter and after I took them out and cleaned them I noticed there's some blotchy "tartar" type of stuff on them, mostly around the polished aluminum lip.
I have no idea what it is, but whatever it is it doesn't come off. I even took them to my detailing place so they could try some of their metal cleaner/polish paste but it doesn't work.
To top it off, like an idiot I even took some #0000 steel wool to one or two wheels' lips. That left me with some dulled scratched areas. So now I have two issues.
I'm at a loss as to how to solve either of these problems. Any advice?
