The 215/45 has a better diameter for your car and I'd offer up as suggestions the Sumitomo HTR+ and Continental Conti Extreme Contact. These are both all-season performers, but the offer a good blend of performance and comfort. I use the Sumitomos and find them to be quite nice as a daily driver with willingness to attack the off ramps.

Well I have SSR 17's and I had Brand new Dunlop FM 901 for a week which were quieter than the New Kumho MX's I just put on. I have a bunch of friends I meet that have WRX's every Thurs here in Reno I'll try to get back to this.

But I have heard:

Toyo Proxes on a 17in: Pretty quiet nice, around town, good on highway.

Dunlop FM901 on 17in: Real nice around town, quieter on the highway than the Toyo.

Kumho MX: The loudest of these three, but I am running a little more pressure to protect my wheels, overall still might be the loudest.

Kumho 712: On my old car these were pretty quiet for the price.

My Mx's are a little louder due to my pressure being up so I will re- test at a more comfortable setting.

Well I got the FM901's for free so I didn't really get into them b/c I was taking them off within the week. They seemed ok when I had them, they had a real nice sidewall and curb protector, I like curb protectors b/c I have SSR's. The tread pattern looked blocky enough to be a decent street performer without over kill. Best feature-> tough sidewall.
