Need Help ASAP w/57c Gramlights
I have a set of 57C gramlights in 17X7.5 +48mm offset and was wondering if they're a direct fit for a 2003 WRX with stock brakes?
Do i need spacers? Will the Stock Lugs work?
I'm putting them on tonight so i need an answer asap!
thanks in advance, ERIC

Nice wheels! Should be a direct fit, Eric. I know there are many WRXes out there with those wheels. Offset and size are correct.
Not positive about lugs, but I'm pretty sure most people use aftermarket lugs. Stock lugs may be okay for a short while, but I would get new ones ASAP.
I don't think you need spacers with the stock brakes. The only thing I don't know is whether you need/want hub rings.
I don't have these wheels and never have, but I wouldn't hesitate to try them on if I did!
Anyway good luck man! Hope to see your car around sometime!

Thanks Chris,
I'm going to look into getting some New Lugs.. Maybe some Rays Lugs in Gold?
BTW this may be the n00b question of the day but what are hub rings?

No prob Eric. Get those lug nutz quick!
If the bore on the wheels (the big center hole on the backside of each wheel) is bigger than the size of the hub on the car (where it mounts), you need rings (some say you don't) to center the wheels when you mount them and to keep them centered when driving. That explanation might be confusing. In any case, the lugs should center the wheels pretty well as long as you tighten them in a star pattern. But if you start feeling vibrations, I would suggest you go ahead and get some hubcentric rings of the right size.
Hope this helps and good luck!
Oh, I'm not sure, but IIRC, lug size is 12x1.25???

Thanks Again...
I bought some new lugs yesterday in 12X1.25... unfortunately i broke my lug key (it's a star shaped pattern if anyone local has one but i forget who makes them) trying to get the lugs off so im going to Les Schwab after work to get those ripped off. I tried to do it with a torque wrench and a 17mm socket but the wrench kept giving.
Anyway, here's an OT question because it pertains to these wheels... I have about 2" of slight curb rash on 1 of these Gold rims. Is it easy to fix on my own if i find matching gold paint or is it just a PITA that'll look ghetto if i try by myself?
it's nothing too bad and i really can't complain for the price i got them (i really only paid a couple hundred for the entire set due to a wheel trade.) Does anyone think it's really worth it to try and fix and how would i go about doing it as an option?
thanks again chris and anyone else, ERIC
