Need expert advice: tires 245/45/17
I have an 02 wrx with sti v8 takeoffs and v7 rims, i think they are 17x7 or 17x7.5 not too sure. Anyways i just pick up some 245/45/17 SO3 pole position today and was wondering if i would have rubbing issues.
Here is a picture of my car currently with 245/40/17 kumho, hope it helps

Those look like the UK 17's. I believe they are 17x7.5. I've read some threads on nabisco about people running 255/40/17 on their BBS STi wheels with no problems.

Lin, I hope you realize those 245/45/17s are a FULL INCH larger diameter than a 245/40/17 (24.7" vs. 25.7") they might not rub if your cars not lowered too much but why would you want to run such a big tire? Its going to kill your gearing too.
