I buying 18x8 rota torques, need tire advice.

Like the title says I am buying a set of 18x8 Rota Torques for my 04 wrx. I really need some advice on what tires to get. The WRX is my daily driver and I do autocross. I will hopefully buy another set for autocross but these tires will have to do for the time being. What do you guys recommend for daily driving/auto cross tires or decent street performance tire. Not looking to spend a fortune but do want to get quality.

Thanks

225/40/18 or 235

Kumho ECSTA MX if you have a budget.
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position if you can spend the extra $$$.

Got my 18 x 8 wheels with Toyo Proxes T1-Rs

Bridgestone Fuzion ZRi are decent tires on a budget too.

I think I am going with the Kumho ECSTA MX from tire rack. They seem to get good reviews and the are cheap which is good because if I have to replace one-all then it won't be that much.

Im thinking 235/40/18, any wider and youre probably dealing with fender rub esp if youre car is lowered.

the MX's have super grip, priced well to compared to other tires out there.

As a DD/auto-x/HPDE tire, I would consider the Hankook RS-2 in 235/40-18. Very grippy compound for auto-x and does ok in the rain. And it is quite affordable. The Falken Azeni RT615 is even better grip wise, but you give up driveability in the wet.

kumho mx are fine if you have a budget and don't plan on driving in snow or overly slick conditions. they're noisy as hell though.

I would definitely go with the Hankook RS2s if it was me. They are cheaper than the Kumho MX and better in every way, and arguably as grippy as the RT615s while being better in the wet. but any of the 3 will serve well as a daily driver/autocross tire.
