I got these tires put on my car not too long ago. Maybe like 150miles ago.
my question is are these tires suppose to pick up every single piece of rock on the road? everything from rocks to leaves seem to stick to the tire. is that normal? will it wear off?
and how are these tires in general? havent really had a chance to see wat they can do. thanks.

My first set of these just crossed 10,000 miles, and yes, they still do pick up sand and small bits of gravel and throw it at the underside of the wheel wells... that's the price you pay for having sticky, sticky tires! I love these tires; they are superior to the Azenis in every way; there's no comparing the two. The wet performance is superb, which is surprisingly useful in Arizona (when it DOES rain, it tends to flood the crap out of our streets, because no one builds in drainage or sewers). They still have a smooth, Lexus-like feel and have yet to become any louder, and I still have at least another 10,000 miles to go in tread life.

Another thumbs up for the F1 GSD3. I've had them for a little over 2K miles (Thanks Luke@Tirerack!) and so far no complaints.. Yes, they do pickup a lot of debris as everybody else indicated..

I've been thinking about these for my next tires. Lots of good written about them, but then I see people complaining about soft sidewalls and blowouts?
Soft sidewalls compared to what?
I currently have Yoko ES100's, I just want to make sure I upgrade without any ugly tradeoffs.

Luke, how about a cheap price on some Michelin 16" rally tyres ?

and as far as a comparison between the Eagle F1 GS-D3 and the ES100 ...it's not even close the Eagles are much better

I had a set of GSD3s for quite a while. Did several autocrosses and 2 track days, and my two previous sets of tires were S03s. The dry and wet grip of the two tires is very similar. I'd give a slight edge to the Goodyears in wear, and to the Bridgestones for sidewall stiffness. For street tires, the Goodyears may be the best deal out there- but for track/autocross, the narrow tread pattern design doesn't hold up to heat well at all. When you get it hot, the treadlines are directly perpendicual to a high slip angle, and they just roll over and die a horrible death. If you aren't competing on them or tracking though, they're fine, and about 10-15% less than S03s.

But it is nice to know that they held up.
I took my Goodyears on a 110-mile loop that was gravel, sand, fire-roads and hardpack, and they were brilliant! I never thought a max-performance summer tire would be so much fun on the loose stuff. Not an ideal tire for this, by far (luckily it was dry -- I would have been at the bottom of the ravine if it had rained) but they were really nice in the corners on pea gravel and sand, probably due to the huge surface area vs. groove area.
