Dexter please help.....
I have an 02' WRX Sedan (Strictly for Track, not Street)
Recently, I have bent the left front wheel of my TE37 at Button Willow in CA. Now, I am in searching for new sets of rims, most likely the SSR Comp.
I am running -3 degree of camber angle at the front and -1.5 degree at rear as my track setup, this gives me more steering and eliminate a little bit of the understeer characteristic that WRX is known to have.
With this much of neg. camber at the front leaving me with much gap between the tire and the fender. This gives me a question...
1.Does 18x8 SSR Comp (wider than TE37 by .5 inch) stand out closer to the fender? or 18x8.5 (if SSR Comp has this size) will also fit better? will it also clear Brembo Brakes?
2. What offset that 18x8 or 18x8.5 SSR Comp has?
3. What size of tires should I use?
4. Is it true that Powder Coating will weaken the wheels? (I powder coated those TE37s)
Thanks for the help! I am looking forward to purchase!

Vince,
Good to meet a fellow R/C enthusiast - great website! To answer your questions:
1. If offset is the same (51mm), the SSR will extend .25" on the outside and inside. The Comps will clear the Brembo GT 4-pots with the 328mm rotors.
2. No Comp 18x8.5s available in the 5-100 bolt, so you'll need to stick with the 18x8 offset 51mm.
3. This is where it gets a little tricky. Safest recommendation is 225/40-18. Depending on your setup and willingness to roll fenders, you could consider 235/40-18 or 245/35-18 - but I can't guarantee these because of rubbing possibilities.
4. Powder coating won't weaken the wheel unless it's brought to extreme temperatures. Normal powdercoating just adds a charge to the wheel during the process, which won't affect it's properties.

Hi Dexter,
Thanks for the quick answer. Anytime you need RC parts just give me a haul. YOu know the website....
Another Q, Does SSR Comp comes with different offset other than 51mm? I need to have the lip of the wheel at least another .75 to 1 inch out to flush with the fender. I think my TE37's offset is 48mm. Here is a picture to give you a better idea....
If you see, my wheel is tucked too much inside, especially the front ones. I don't mind rolling the fender if I have to.
