ContiExtremeContact versus RE92s
RE92s are TWICE as expensive as the CECs... but the CECs seem like they have much better snow traction and better traction just overall. Is it too good to be true? Great all-seasons at a great price?
I've never driven my car above 115, so the speed rating dosen't matter, and I understand the Pilot A/S tires are really good, but it dosen't look like a 100$ more gets you much.

I haven't had the opportunity yet to test the Contis, but I'm expecting a great all around value. The numbers for the tire look great and the look/design of the tire makes sense. I'll venture to say it's a tremendous improvement over the OE RE92s. The only potential downfalls - it is directional which means great resistance to hydroplaning but you can only rotate front to rear. As you know, Subaru recommends this type of rotation anyway so I'll give the Conti a 'thumbs up' as a replacement.
