Car Shaking between 40-50 mph...
I'm having a problem with my 1995 Subaru Impreza 1.8 L inline 4 cylinder 2 door coupe shaking when I get between 40-50 mph. I had a front end alignment and new tires put on the front, so it is not the front end causing the problem. I believe it is the back wheels or springs or something, because the noise is coming from that area. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? It doesn't happen at low speeds...

it could be because you only got 2 new tires and the transfer case / center differential is binding up or it could be a simply as a balance issue ...
here is something that may help you out
if you feel the shaking in the seat it's from the back of the car if you feel it in the steering wheel it's the front

I looked online and some mechanics say it might be that the lower ball joints are not tightened. What happens when I hit that speed is that I will feel minor shaking in the steering wheel, and hear a rumbling noise in the rear. I had the mechanics check out the rear rotors and brakes, and they said they were perfectly fine and didn't need to be replaced. They said the front tires and wheels were out of alignment and replaced both front and aligned it...but the problem seems the same as it was before. What's odd, is that when you go above 50 mph it totally disappears and the car rides smooth...
