Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport?
Anyone use these? I am thinking about getting a set for my DD wrx wagon. I don't race my car or anything, but drive spiritedly. Most of my driving is in the bay area. I want something with a good tread rating and something that is fun to drive on the weekends. Any other recommendations? I was originally looking at a sportier tire, but realize I probably would not be utilizing them.

I think RE760 is over priced... they cost almost same price as Dunlop Star Spec!
I know you are not looking for something that over kill for DD... have you considered Sumitomo HTR Z III? It seems to have good review...

Looking for tires for stock replacement. This is my DD and don't plan on many track days, maybe an Auto X event in the future, but as of right now no. What about the Kumho MX?

You don't like Sumitomo?
Here is test result by Tire Rack against Bridgestone Potenza RE 050 Pole Position, Continental ContiSportContact 3 & Yokohama Advan Sport.
Btw, you can "Plus Zero" size to 225/45-17 on your stock wheels.

That isn't really true. As long as you compare tires of the same manufacturer then it means something. It's an arbitrary something, but still something. Now one make to another... [italianmobster]fuh'get aboud it[/im]!
