best all season tires 226/60/16 forO/B
I may be thinking out loud here after reading all of these posts and reading reviews on tire rack.
I just picked up a 2003 O/B wagon that has the RE92's on it- not getting a warm and fuzzy on the ratings.
I'm in a hilly part of New Jersey so snow and ice are definites for the winter
Sounds like I can't really go wrong with Michelin Pilots, Continental extreme, or the yok or sumi brands. The Bridgestone 950's would probably be a definite upgrade
Comments?
Thanks, Robert

Those are all great choices for the aggressive driver. If snow traction is a priority and you won't get snow tires, look at the Continental and the Sumitomo for aggressive driving. Look at the Dunlop SP Sport A2 for smooth and spirited driving.

The difference in my opinion is negligable. The ride smoothness is indistinguishable between the RE92s and these higher performance rivals. The OE tire is just not the best of tires...

I've got an 02 WRX that needs a set of replacement tires. I live in MD where we do see some snow, but right now I can't justify 2 sets of tires for the car (maybe next year).
So, are there any other decent all seaon tires to look at? To me some of the Pirellis look interesting.
As long as the snow performance is at least as good as the RE92 I'll be happy. Oh.. And they might see a little rallyx action also.
Thanks,
Jason
