And what wheels are they? I know they are BBS and came as Standard Equipment on the S401, but what model are they. According to the Subaru STi Japan site they cost 88,000 yen or about $880, but I was wondering how much they would cost here in the states. Any info would be great.

If its only available through Subaru, then it is not available here. You've seen all the US market wheels already. And if they want $880 apiece... wow. They better weigh 6 pounds and be indestructible even on Detroit roads.

The 10 double spoke BBS/STi is called Electra-C but this was the 16 inch version.

8 double spoke is called Electra-L

The 18 inch 10 spoke not sure what they call that.

That may be what I do. I really like those wheels and they go great with the legacy already (S401), I just gotta make sure they are worth the BIG cost

Here is a blowup of the info on the S401 BBS rim. You can see the
BBS model number at the top as a RG386

so this is a BBS "RG" very simular to the RG-R shown above but 10 spokes. Seems like all are in the RG seires.

Looks like the specs for it are 18"x7.5 with +55 offset.

The below pic is of a BBS RG-F which is a 10 spoke but only 16" Dia.

The code on the rim is RG366

Thank you for your e-mail.

Yes this is the correct number for the S401.
RG386 is the size only for Subaru.
This wheel cannot be sold in an aftermarket.

Looks like it has to be purchased through a Subaru dealer, and as for any special production, like in P1, 22b, or RB5, these parts normally will only be sold if you have that car and show ownership to get replacement parts.

Only thing is that it is listed on the STi Japan website as a part sold. So, I would belive that it is sold through the dealership because not all S401 parts are listed on that site. Only the wheels and the sideskirts.
