True and if I could drive better I can get down the track quicker also. Like I said we both were new to the drag race thing. His mods included aftermarket IC, EBC, Ported intake man, BOV, CAI, exhaust et al. I'm sure it could have been quicker in other hands just like mine. The fact is it wasn't this time. But we were real life racing not paper could have would have if I got such and such done. I just went to the track do give it a try. I've had my fill

touche! nice win man. Oh, and I haven't learned to drive my srt-4 yet either lol. I ran a 14.75 (at 6000' altitude) according to a g-tech. The car should be capable of low 14's up here. Wasn't trying to start stuff, so don't everyone dogpile me now lol.

I have had my "adopted" WRX for a few months now, although I have been driving it for about a year. I consider myself a good driver. I drive all terrains and drive my WRX in mostly mountain roads, thats where I live so I drive the curves alot. anyways...
With all this blab about the SRT-4, I decided to go drive one. Went to the Dodge dealer in the Sacramento area, and they had just rolled this SRT-4 ACR, or ARC model off. looked all right. lower than the base SRT-4 bigger wing, blah, blah, still a NEON in my eyes. I told the guys there that I wanted to trade my Suby for a dodge, had to try not to laugh out loud.
they pumped it up to be so much faster and better than my suby. I got in, and actually liked the interior better than the EVO 9 I test drove a while ago. Good seats, kinda funky shifting but I thought I'd give it a try.
I hit the straights, and the thing has quite a bit of power. Now to the true test. found some curves, and it sucked. period. the ACR is a stage one and it felt as if it were going to fly off the road every time I got on it. the power sucks in turns and feels that it lags alot.
got back to the dealership and told the guy he was nuts, then looked at the sticker and they wanted 28,699 for it. F-that I found a new STI (well somewhat it was an 04) for that and it felt so much safer and controllable than the SRT-4.
just my 2cents, but what do I know? just that I love my SUBY
