LSD doesn't solve all of those problems; you're still putting power to the ground with the same wheels that steer you, which means they will always want to go straight when you want to turn. Watch those 400hp Civics drag race sometime, they have to fight that wheel like a pro wrestler and have to be trailered to the track. You might be able to get an SRT-4 up to 530hp, but you won't be able to auto-x that power by any stretch of the imagination, nor will it be remotely streetable. However, I've driven an STI with 535hp and it could do both
I'm not falling back on the old "Neons suxxors" arguments or attitudes, I'm just saying that there are some fundamental design limitations to the SRT-4 that have to be recognized. It is still an amazing car for the money, even if it does somehow make drivers of it drop 50 IQ points and go trolling for "kills" every Friday night...

You don't seem to be getting the point if it ain't AWD and can't rally, we don't worry about it. If $15k FWD pocket rockets had us worried, we wouldn't be Subaru drivers; the cars are simply in different classes, and can't even remotely be considered competition for each other.

Adding HP to a POS doesn't remove the POS part

I wouldn't call it a spanking (not like that civic ) Considering I was driving a Forester maybe it was though He was gaining fast and would have overtaken me if we went a little further. But the guy was pretty cool we talked quite a bit. He had quite a few things worked on his Neon, but like me he was new to the drag racing thing. It was a very nice SRT-4 but I did surprise a lot of people. That was the first time he broke 13 all day. I was normally running 13.7 ish but it was very hot out and that was my 5th run after sitting in line for quite a while. It was all in good fun. I have more details here:

The SRT-4 should have been able to run faster than 13.9 stock :\ I'm sorry, I'm not trying to say SRT-4s are the fastest car ever, but if that guy had mods done, he just hasn't learned how to drive it yet. I love the new Foresters though. They are quick
