Having fallen on skis at very nearly that speed on snow, all I can say is ouch!
Its bad enough on snow where you skim along brusing your whole body and burning your rubber suit off, at least you dont have sharp hard things grinding away your flesh and smashing your bones.
I wouldn't be shocked to hear that he died from internal injuries later, dude was seriously, and I mean SERIOUSLY messed up!
