Damn Jeff, this sucks.

FLI did a crappy install and/or tune and now they won't even fix what they couldn't do right in the 1st place.

And FLI saying a compression test voids the warrenty, that's a pretty big stretch.

I've spoke with 2 people in person who had to get their cars retuned after going to FLI. It would be nice if some other shops would speak with alex who have redone some of FLIs work or tunes to protect the community.

so does changing his own oil void the warranty? it's a leakdown test. If FLI determined that pulling the motor was the best way for them to determine if something was wrong, then they are liable to put it back together.

btw, I don't know this guy. sucks to see someone's hard earn 8k spent w/ no working car and vendor that says... well you paid for this and not that and there is a warranty but you got a bad attitude so.... sorry go away.

I don't expect any other shop to chime in. Some have a reputaion to uphold. My thanks goes out to everyone that has helped me thus far. We have some damn good people in this area. You know who you are.

Same here it's 3 ppl for me tho. They rather not have to fight on the internet and just cut there losses and just spread it word of mouth.

Again this is not a flame thread. I have been honest from the start and I intend to keep it that way. Hear-say will not fly. I expect those people to come forward and write a review. It is thier choice. This is one of the best parts about this forum/internet. It is really tight knit, we take care of each other. When the knit starts to come loose just a tug tightens it back up. If someone farts 30miles away, you hear about it.

Actually I have a gripe with one guy right now.
Just to credit myself
I have no cronies.
Here-Say? This is about me, my car and FLI right?
Internet call outs are lame. Shoot me a pm if you want my address
There is not one statement I have made. I would not swear to under oath.
$20 on Jeff... HAHAHA! Anyways, yeah I've made the trip up to FLi plenty of times. Met Miles and Ryan, needless to say they're great guys. And also I agree with blkbetty that they do try their best to suite customers' needs. But as complicated as the situation is, they somehow came short on this one. Unfortunately this had to happen, but I doubt this will cause people to shy away from FLi.

PS... Dude... Jeff, that must've been the longest post I've read on here!

sorry to hear about your loss. I think if this happened to me there would be many slashed tires and broken windows.

I hope people learn from this and ignore the fan boys.
Leave the 'real' work to businesses like LIC, EQ, Gruppe-S, and the vendors that are willing to make things right if something goes wrong.

grrrrr, drama, drama.

Ah well, what's the likelihood of someone calling you out online actually showing up anyhow?!

Anyways, I had to buy a new hoodscoop 'cause somehow the original one flew off during a test drive by FLi (NOTE: the CF hood wasn't on my car then). I just don't get why they drove on with it in the first place. The scoop didn't suite the intercooler's location. No replacement, but if I recall they offered a discount on the JDM hood, which is better. As for me, I got the CF hood for cheaper!
