Based on the flow test data, I think it would be extremely difficult to run this clean at these flow rates with a ceramic cat.

To clarify, the Helix Cat is a METAL SUBSTRATE (yes all those nice rare-earth elements!!) 200 cell cat.

BTW, we're currently sold out on the catted downpipes. Next shipment is 2-3 weeks (good idea to reserve yours today!)
Ohhh pardon me... I totally read that wrong. Nice, this may be a good option then.

unfortunetly that is a sticky situation. Normally most SMOG shops wont bother to look under the car, they will just dyno it and pop your hood. If the SMOG guys do check under the car you wont pass because you arent allowed to change your downpipe unless you have written documentation that it was replaced due to damage.

thanks

so how about a free letter from Gruppe-s stating that this DP is a replacement for an OE pipe that was damaged in a bizarre gardening accident or something?

or how about I take a 1/4" drill bit to the OE pipe, then take it to a shop and tell them I was drilling a hole to hang a picture in the garage and my drill slipped. (a la JKF comissions's single bullet theory)
