02-03 wrx side-skirt painting?
im not really sure how these group buys usually work, especially with painting. i was wondering if anyone was planning on getting their side-skirts painted and would be interested in doing a group buy. how much would something like this cost?
thanks

as far as i know a few guys in SoCal had this going. you send in your sideskirts or just meet at the local shop. they ran there group buy for right around 70-80. Not sure how many were in on it thou. But I can ask about it.
Basically find someone who got there's painted and get the shop #. or just hit up a few places that would do it.
ask how much it would run for one set and get a run down on what the discount would be if you got a grip more. 5 people-$150 10 people- 120. and so on.

I got my skirts painted from a group buy. The shop was in the East Bay (Hayward) of the Bay area. It costed me $50 for the skirts. The color match wasn't as great as I hoped it would be and the paint job on the skirts themselves weren't smooth, it was really rough and I thought they were gonna sand my skirts down in order to have a smooth finish. What made it worse was that the guy running the shop mixed up my skirts with another Impreza owner's skirts. One of his skirts were kind of deformed on the botton because they must have missed the undercarriage and got the sideskirt. So, my skirts got painted WRB, while I had to wait for another few day while to get the other owner's skirts painted MBP.
On the upside, my friend got his done on from a group buy and they did a marvelous job. He paid about $30 I think. So, I think depending where you are located, the more people you can get the better the discounts for everyone.

I'll do this, if we get about 10-15 ppl. Everyone just sign up ( there's a shop that color matched my urthane bumper for 180 ) so i'm gonna take it to them and ask how much it's gonna be. Post here with your name so i can keep count. I will send a PM to everyone that signed up once we have enough ppl.

P.S I'm not gonna count the ppl before my post, so if you've posted already, please repost. OH and this will only be for the Greater Bay Area folks. The shop that i'm thinking of is in Hayward to be exact. Right across the street from MPJ Performance.
