cusco zero2r's rears need rebuilt/ replaced

ive had these on my car for just under 8000 miles, when i got them they had 13k on them, the rears now leak and need either replaced or rebuilt. the fronts are in good shape and have new pillowball mounts. which i replaced in early october, pm me with any questions. i also have a v2 brace and an os-t brace for sale which are brand new. 100 for each of those shipped. 600 shipped for the coilovers.

If those are 2R's, 99.9% they are not leaking. There is an actual bearing inside the body due to the inverted strut design. So, the grease eventually liquifies and sips a bit. It is not the shock that is leaking. And not the seal. You should not worry about it. If you show me a pic, I will tell you for sure.

I have sold over 200 sets of coilovers in US. I am yet to see one come back with shock problems.

Off topic, but do you know if the front pillowball mounts will fit the rears? If so, what's the condition of the front pillowballs that you swapped out?

You cannot use the front mounts in the rear. The actuall ball is the same, if that is what you are asking.

Footprint just sold his with an extra set of springs for $1100 if that helps you decide on a price. Fixing ONE corner is $400-$500 so you might be better off keeping them. Can you describe in detail what they are doing that is negative? Bouncing, sounds, etc. Thanks.

car feels like the rear is bottoming out over bumps. i could part them out and make 800 with the new pillowball mounts, the springs and the fron dampers, all as replacements. bbb ut i would just rather not do that.

You think it could be the topmounts? Maybe you should try to replace those in the rear. How much does a set cost? Oh, and what car are these for, 02-04 GD?

02-05wrx or 04sti ill check those but there are rocks dirt and debris sticking to the damper in the rear so thats why i think its leaking but ill look more into it... its a way more horrible feeling than when the front pillowballs went.

mprezer: do you think it could be the top mounts making it feel like the car is bottoming out ?---also still working on getting the pics to you.

thanks for any help

also willing to go either way on these:
trade these for stock struts and springs and $
or
trade these and $ for bilstien pss9, zeal function v6, whiteline g4....

let me know

i think it may just be the camber plates in the rear and the leaking is the grease liquifying like imprezer stated above... but i will know for sure tomorrow, if it is they wont be for sale.
