Go up west side hwy/Henry Hudson Pkwy. After GWB stay right and get off at Dyckman street and then make first left. At bottom of street make right and there is a hand car wash place right there. I park next door and have used them a number of times. Only 7 bucks and everyone on the street is into cars.

Just got back from the car wash this morning.
The directions are exactly right - note: the Dyckman exit is right after the cloisters exit, and right before the toll for the saw mill - and the wash is pretty good. Certainly worth it for $7 + no toll.
Kingsti: thanks again, and you're right about everyone on the street being into cars. Pretty funny, actually.
BTW, also saw another one in Harlem, right off the northern exit off the Henry Hudson. If I remember correctly, turn left immediately once you get off, and drive a couple of blocks. It will be on the left side of the street, between the street and the river, next to a little garage detailing shop. I haven't used it, nor do I know the price - just happened to see it.
