Whats up Austin crowd!
Just picked up a 02 midnight pearl WRX. Just wanted to give a shout out and I need to have a uppipe/downpipe installed, who would you recommend? Does anyone know if Chris located behind SW's shop will install them ? Take care

Hey, leegina, welcome to atx wrx ownership. Brand-new car? Any competent mechanic can do an uppipe/downpipe for you. Its not a technicly hard job, but it takes time.
Just uppipe/downpipe (leaving the downpipe back stock) is not the typical 'first upgrade'. What's your overall objectives and path to upgrades?

I cannot remember where I read it but they stated to start with uppipe/downpipe then ECU and so on. I saved it but I am at work and have no access to the thread but it was from a major tuner in the WRX community. But I am not trying to really create a bullet I was just trying to get a little more ponies over stock. But as to who can put in a up/downpipe in Austin what shops do you recommend because I called Performance Motorsports and they basically said he charged 60/hour and however long it took to install is what he would charge and I was hoping for someone to say 3 hours and that would be this price. So in your opinion what should be my mod path for 30-40 horse increase with cost as a big factor. But I do have an uppipe in the mail as we speak. Thanks for any input. Later
