From a different angle... Why are we spending so much effort in controlloing what is tought in schools in the mid-east... because children are very impressionable... If only one ideology is presented to them, what do you think they will feel is the 'right' thing?
Give me a break... You originally posted this, trying to tie it to some liberal extremist movement- but you failed to look into the entire story. You took the lady's word for it and questioned all other views.
You seem to be hanging on by a thread, just give it up and admit that this had nothing to do with liberal, anti-government extermism.
Take a step out of your partisan bubble for a millisecond, and reconsider this whole issue, its really not that complicated, as many have said before.

It doesn't matter what class room it is! It's a goddamn school and learning environment...
She had pictures of the Presidents on the wall, not Senators! Kerry has yet to become the 44th President so his picture doesn't belong on the wall.
We're arguing about a picture according to that article... where's the proof she was spitting out political propaganda to the children that can't vote!?

Yes I suppose the whole administration staff would lie to cover up such a mistake but by doing so they would open themselves up to a huge libel lawsuit. Those people are not that stupid. They wouldn't take that position unless they had something to back themselves up.

By the same token wheres the proof that she just posted the picture and didn't spew political propaganda. There are people saying thats what she did. If you believe the media story that the teacher told then so be it. If you beleive the superintendent, vice-principal and principal so be it! Again it all comes down to who you gonna beleive.....

I don't particularly like Bush, but he is the president and his picture up in a schoolroom is perfectly appropriate... especially along side previous presidents.
I remember going to public elementary school and seeing portraits of the presidents, going across the top of the wall near the ceiling, from George Washington to the present. Even in music and science classes! How is this wrong?!

Sorry, but this debate is teh rediculous.
This is an argument about the President's picture on the wall of a classroom?!? Our forum needs to become less partisan

I just tend to beleive the superintendent, vice principal and principal over the teacher because they say they can back up their statements with student interviews and such and the media account doesn't give any hard evidence. Read the statement from the superintendant here:

So it's basically a teachers comments VS. children’s testimony
-OR-
Teacher VS. Superintendent for any personal or political motive we may not know about.
Perfect.
This thread is officially beaten to death.

Also I don't see how she was doing the kids a favor.

Things have changed from when I graduated in '87.
The liberal agenda is pushed hard down the throat of students.
Look here for what some poor student had to endure.
BTW, I will start another thread explaining my Liberalism is a mental disease.

Operation TIGER CLAW is a prime example of how liberals are the first ones to deny other freedoms of speech when it doesn't meet their agenda.
Liberal ideals are spewed in public school to the highest universities because Liberals thrive on structure and credentials. They'll be the first ones to tell you that their pretty resume makes them the right man for the job because it makes them feel superior. This is nothing new... Right wing whackos have their traits too, but this is exactly why Bush’s inability to speak eloquently makes him the wrong man for the Presidency in many Liberals eyes. Kerry is so well spoken after all so he must be the better choice, right?…

You can save yourself the typing, Ann Coulter has already written it in her published rantings.
....and I will be sure to add your name to my ignore list.
