EXPLODING DEBT LOAD FOR BUNCH OF FREELOADERS
This is unconstitutional.
WASHINGTON - Emblazoned on every page of President Obama's budget are the words: "A New Era of Responsibility."
That would be a responsibility for you to fork over more taxes.
That would be a responsibility for your company to pay even higher taxes.
That would be a responsibility for you to foot the bill for one of the largest expansions of government welfare in history.
Obama's budget schemes to drain staggering amounts of money from people who worked for it and steer it to people who didn't.

Obama's 'change' theme tested again
Reporting from Washington -- As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama said that in overhauling healthcare he would make the negotiations public, and even invite C-SPAN to air the talks on television.
Yet in recent months, lobbyists and health insurance company representatives have been meeting behind closed doors -- with the White House's knowledge -- in the office of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.) to debate options for a new health system.
As a candidate, Obama pledged to cut "earmarks" for lawmakers' pet projects to pre-1994 levels. But the president soon may sign a bill laced with more than 8,500 earmarks.

Buildings sprang up as donations rained down on Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion
Still glad you voted for Barry?
The man who is President Obama's newly minted urban czar pocketed thousands of dollars in campaign cash from city developers whose projects he approved or funded with taxpayers' money, a Daily News probe found.
Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion often received contributions just before or after he sponsored money for projects or approved important zoning changes, records show.
Most donations were organized and well-timed.

$25, 573.48 - what Barack Obama's budget will cost each taxpayer
The US Census bureau estimates that the current US population is 304,059,724. Dividing the $3.552 trillion by that gives us close to the $11,833 that Drudge came up with. ABC's Jake Tapper reports that there wil be $989 billion in new taxes over the next decade.
I'm an American taxpayer and the starkest figure is what this could cost me. The latest figure I could find for the number of US taxpayers is 138,893,908 returns in 2007 here. By my reckoning, that's $25, 573.48 each.

HEALTH-CARE RATIONING AHEAD
PRESIDENT Obama's new budget dedicates $634 bil lion over the next 10 years to what he calls health reform. He promises - or perhaps threatens - that this vast sum will be a down payment for universal coverage, which could require more than $1 trillion.
Unfortunately, the president intends to spend all this money on the basis of several pernicious myths common in the health-care debate. As a result, his reforms would ultimately hand the health-care system over to the government and lead to rationing.

I believe that Clint Eastwood and Noam Chomsky are national treasures.

The origin of the word "libertarian" is an interesting one: for a while in many European countries it was against the law to be an anarchist, discuss it, or print anything about it--so they created the word "libertarian" as a way around that. Today in many parts of Europe libertarian is used interchangeably with anarchist.
U.S. libertarians can generally be accurately described as libertarian-capitalists or anarcho-capitalists. Some anarchists would argue that is a contradiction in terms, that capitalism and libertarianism (in the traditional sense) are mutually exclusive. But that's a discussion I try to not get into over the internet.

As the Dow keeps dropping, the President is running out of people to blame.
As 2009 opened, three weeks before Barack Obama took office, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9034 on January 2, its highest level since the autumn panic. Yesterday the Dow fell another 4.24% to 6763, for an overall decline of 25% in two months and to its lowest level since 1997. The dismaying message here is that President Obama's policies have become part of the economy's problem.
