If they are using our roads and other infrastructure, going to our hospitals etc, they should pay taxes. Why should I pay for them to live in comfort?

Of course, that is the problem. And precisely why we need to fix the system. However, simply to say "kick 'um out" doesn't fix anything. We need a easier way for immigrants to come here legally and provide labor (i.e. Guest worker program). Until the root of the problem is fixed, no wall is going to be high enough to keep everybody out.

That's one ethical person on a ranch in CO.

I've been to Salinas plenty of times. When I'm down there again in the growing season I will ask around to see what going wages are for picking fruits and veggies.

"They terk our jerbs!!!"

Why should we...Americans...allow every person that wants in, in?

By no means should we let everybody in. But we NEED some foreign labor, and the current process does not address that need. If there weren't jobs to be filled there would be far fewer people crossing the boarder. Supply will always vary with demand. I.E. why immigration has slowed as the economy has slowed.

Your lawn can't be mowed in Mexico, nor can your California produce be picked there.
