So you're afraid of reality? I'm sorry your marine brains are brain washed, but... aren't you supposed to be protecting the CONSTITUTION? I mean isn't that what the country it is based off? So we're supposed to go along with anything the government does and not question it?

Do you think we citizens enjoy saying bad stuff about the country? Maybe it's because it's TRUE? You can't make a country better by following Uncle Sam, you make it better by questioning the things that suck about it, so it can improve.

America is far from perfect, being ranked 30 something in all the countries on the planet in health care with all the so called wealth we have is just plain pathetic.

 

I ain't saying your supposed to agree with everything the government says and does because I sure don't. I do fight for my country and everything behind it but the message was to keep your opinions to yourself. If you think we got it so bad then maybe you should visit other countries and maybe you will realize how good us Americans have it. It takes a rare breed to volunteer to put yourself in harms way for what you believe in, only about 2% of the American population volunteers for duty. And the part about Marines being brain washed is funny because your judging us from what you see on TV. And me being afraid of reality, not a chance, you haven't seen reality face to face like I have.

 

Your argument poses no answer to my question. The point I was trying to make obviously, since some people don't understand, is WHY should be keep hush about all the bad things? How are we supposed to improve as a country if we keep the bad things locked up and just show the only the good? I never said we had it so bad that I would want to move out to a 3rd world country. I'm saying there is a lot that is in question, when we are such a powerful country that we should be living up to. Health care, education, etc. I'm sure you've seen harsher things in the military world, but that is a different issue. The things I do see is wrong and should be fixed.

I'm not judging what is being seen on TV, I'm judging your responses to problems within the United States, giving the ol "well live outside of here if you hate it so much" thing. I want us to prosper, but to do that we have to fix the wrongs first. Furthermore, you have to identify what is wrong in order to come up with solutions for a fix.

 

Yep we should Fix our economy before starting another war. I say we bring our guys home too

 

i remember that for the ol' mans clearance. they asked me if "i had any knowledge of my dad using illegal drugs now or in the past" and beign a smarmy 14 year old i responded "i know he got his undergrad at Berkley in 1970.... so yah i assume so."
