Islam, now the religion of... fury?

http://news.yahoo.com/fc/world/papacy_and_the_vatican

"Muslims express fury over Pope's remarks."

Sounds like they are mad enough to kill?

Is anyone surprised by their lack of tolerance?

Also, Oriana Fallaci died today... author of The Force of Reason.

The idea to spread a religion by the sword was NOT his idea...they had been doing that for a few hundred years already...

Thankfully it ends here. We aren't burning flags, the Quran, or committing hate crimes against Muslims. And although we may have instinctual reservations about a Muslim we meet with a sentence for a name, we'll shake his or her hand and make a conscience effort knowing that he probably is peaceful. Hell, we may even become good friends like I have many times before. This seems to be the trend throughout the entire nation, Dre. The tolerance is so great on our end that the only major anomalies or glitches come from Muslims attacking non-Muslims (Seattle, Los Angeles shooting in 2002, etc). Good point, btw...

So the Pope apologized today about the speech he gave and guess what! Muslims are not accepting the apology. Sound familiar? This has happened every single time they get their delicate feelings hurt. Tolerance my ***! ****'em.

But never directly supported by a religion before, right? There's some pretty brutal stuff in the old testament, but none of it is considered justification for violence by Christians.

Are you kidding?!?! There have been papal decrees to kill groups of people...if that's not direct support by the religion, I don't know what is...

Eh, I'm protestant. How does that relate to me or current times? When was the last time a pope issued a fatwa?

And I thought you were gonna pull out the "God made me do it" abortion bomber card.

Hey, I quoted YOU when you said NEVER and OLD TESTAMENT. Modern times? Luckily Judeo Christians have backed off the violence for the most part...but I was addressing assertion so I applied it to the last 2000 years...
