Read that back, your wording is a little off and you have a comma that doesn't belong. Sorta like in your whimsical explanation of the 2nd.
Either way, don't be sorry for anyone but yourself. I understand it. You misunderstand it in ways that are dangerous to our nation. Let's just hope others learn as I have, not to take you seriously.
I would have preferred to come to an acceptance of your views even if I don't agree with them.

Basic history, reading the Federalist Papers, basic understanding of English Common Law, etc. would help you understand the basic meaning of the 2nd Amendment.
I could spell out for you....slowly...if it helps.
I'm here to help educate you.

hmmm, so by the logic of the gov should get off my back, i should be able to do what i want, hhhmmmmm, i wonder where i can go with that.
your right i should be able to drive as fast i want while intoxicated, get them off my back, cool.
but seriously i live in pa, you can own anything if you really want.
with 4 class three firearms licescenses i can have and opereate a quad 50 cal anti aircraft gun. cool, but is it really neccesary?
i thinkit is great we should arm everyone, you should be issued a 45 by the gov when you turn 16. you do something wrong with it, you go to jail.
also you should be able to carry a SAW if you like, that is if you need real firepower.
it is so funny, that this is an issue there are enough laws on the books we dont neeed more. An ar 15 was designed for only one thing.

im talking about pre-ww2 Germany. its not that much of a stretch to imagine
The reason we have guns is not to hunt, kill burgers or trespassers, or destroy old appliances. We have the second amendment because the founding fathers deemed it necessary to afford us the same ability to forcible throw off the bonds of tyranny should we have too.
People should not fear their government, the government should fear its people. That's why i own now, and will always own and maintain weapons, regardless of any unconstitutional law to the contrary.

- socialist president.
- depression
- rampant inflation.
- oppressed middle class (not just the jews this time) being used as a scapegoat goat and taxed especially hard.
- stringent gun regulation aimed at disarming the public instead of protecting it
- domestic spying (check joe bidens fascist voting record on personal rights)
maybe you should read a ****ing book? or how bout just the bills introduced by biden and supported by obama (since he hasnt introduced ****)
dont get me wrong, im jsut as scared of a mccain-palin presidency, but at least they arent in favor of removing our right to revolution

Maybe you should keep your tin foil hat on, son. We're all growed ups here. I'm happy to continue without insults if you can.
This isn't the first time the evil democrats have had power in both the house and the executive office. We all still have our guns and we didn't turn into a 1939 Germany. If someone managed to publish a book that convinces people that your guns will be taken away in the next 4 years, more power to them. Fortunately, life and politics aren't as simple as the flow chart you've provided us with. Now I don't pretend to know what will happy in the next few years, but according to that 2nd amendment that we've been discussing for umpteen posts, our right to own guns... I'm predicting it will remain our right.
Please continue.....

Like I said, I don't pretend to know what's going to happen. But fear of the nation being forcefully disarmed is not even on the radar. The more immediate issues are what's going to happen in Iraq and what's going to happen with my paycheck over the next 4 years.

So now you are calling me stupid and throwing knowledge-free jabs at my educational background. Because you think I don't agree with you. Hmm... Seems like you are out of ideas. By the way, what is that supposed to accomplish? Do you talk to adults like this, or is it just your internet voice? How would you handle this with someone you actually wanted to help or to understand what you are talking about?
I've gone through all 11tybillion posts in this thread, re reading them looking for some root questions by those who don't quite understand the 2nd.
There exists a natural right of self protection, in which, any force is allowed, including deadly force, when you are in fear for your life.
Adding to this, one does not go looking for a fight, but if a fight happens to find you, and things get ugly, you must defend yourself.
Do you agree with this?
To the Founding Fathers, one of the greatest concerns was the idea of tyranny, especially in the form of gov't tyranny.
These men had read, studied, and learned from all of the classical books pertaining to this subject; Machiavelli's The Prince is one such book.
The Founding Fathers knew that an unarmed populace would be ripe for a tyrannical govt, and as such, wanted to ensure that the people had the means necessary to prevent a tyrannical gov't from starting.
It's also important to remember that the idea of a large standing army...like we have today...was an abhorrent idea to the Founding Fathers.
But, they also had to reconcile the fact that the gov't would need to protect the people from foreign invasion.
The question was, how do protect the State and People(by creating a military that could become oppressive) while allowing the People to keep the gov't from becoming tyrannical?
The solution was simple & concise:
Form the militia and arm the People.
This is what is said in the 2nd Amendment.
Arms are a right of the people to prevent gov't tyranny.
