Zeal Function V6 installed/review

A customer of mine posted this review of his new Zeal Function V6 coilovers:

Put these in two weeks ago this thursday, and I am all smiles everytime I get in my car. I am coming from JDM pinks/stock V8's. The stock rear V8's kicked the bucket long ago, so it was time to move on anyway.

I got the street springs (8kg front/ 6kg rear). Perfect if you daily drive the car at all. The Swift springs may be a little much on bumpy NNJ roads.

Adjusting them initially is a pain. So we just put them on the car the way they came, then made final adjustments while they were on the car. Running around on setting 1 (of 6) is comfortable enough to drive everyday (which is what I leave it on for the daily driver part of this car). The backroads/mountain driving will see a mix of 3 or 4 front or rear. Go anywhere near 5/6 and your in track only land IMHO.

Turn in is immediate, balance is perfect, control is far greater, car rotates easily for once. Front end wander was reduced a bit during hard cornering (but that front diff is still doing it's thing to make your life harder)...the car just feels a hell of a lot more stable when you are up to speed.

Camber adjustment, height adjustments, damper adjustments are all very precise and accurate.

A bit pricey, but with Endless, you get exactly what you pay for. They are suprisingly quiet for a coilover with no type of insulation. A little squeak/thunk here and there from the pillowballs but they are QUIET for what they are....and head and shoulders above the tein's, jic's, hks stuff I've driven.

To the track we go. I may give some track impressions at some point.

Got em from Myles @ Racecomp Engineering. My thanks goes out to him for 1. recommending the perfect suspension for what I do and, 2. getting them to me quick and intact from Japan (not the easiest thing to do in my experience).

Pics of the coilovers themselves can be seen here...as well as some shots of my car with them. I did not take pics of the install since my battery died......

I've been looking at these for a while. Any negatives about the V6?

This is from our Legacy guy:
The shocks ride very well. Many people ask me "is it that stiff?" and I response to them with this notion:

"There's a 6-level dampening adjustment where 1 is full soft and 6 is full stiff. Level 1 does dampening just as well as stock, giving you the best stock ride. Even in Autocrossing I dont turn the adjustments to level 4 on the front and 3 in the rear. These shocks give you the best of both worlds in terms of a leisure weekend at the track to the fun time driving 10+ hours on a road trip. The 2-way adjustment (spring pre-load and ride height) gives you the flexibility for a higher performance feeling and choice of height of center gravity.. or if for looks, a lower ride height and a very subtle and smooth ride."

For my rating on the shocks, I would give it a 9.85 out of 10.
