Whitline HD Swaybar Mounts
started putting them on, drivers side is a joke, but the passenger side is being a PITA. driver side took all of 15 minutes, but i cant get the passenger side front bolt to catch a thread. there is absolutley no room whatsoever to get your hand in there. the damn hole is right above the fuel tank filler line. get the bolt in the hole, hold it in there with a screwdriver, and start turning it w/ a open end wrench, 10 minutes later when i think ive finally got it threaded..... and it falls out. Ive been trying to start this bolt for 2.5 hrs now.
Ive got the fuel filler line cover off, the holes are lined up, but for the life of me, it just won't fargin start!!!

read about this somewhere
I read about this somewhere, another site. I guy who posted it had the method of removing the three (?) bolts around the filler neck and then pushed the filler pipe out of the way. Claimed it worked great so that a standard socket could then be used rather than an end wrench. I haven't tried it, or even looked at it, just passing along my memory of his post. Hope it helps.

thanks plough, finally got it. my neighbor(who builds printing presses) heard me yelling at my car and came over. 10 minutes later the bolt was in. i wanted to smack him .
now ive got the mounts hooked up to a 24mm adj whiteline bar, holy hell! is it wrong that my rear sway bar is a larger diameter than my lateral links? :bg:

Thats probably my next mod. I did the steering bushings recently and the install was the same way! PITA on the passenger side and easy on the drivers side. I noticed a big difference with just the steering bushings have you done yours yet? How is the sway bar for you?

got the whiteline steering bushings sitting here, haven't thrown them in yet. But im loving the bar. running eibach pros w/ kyb agx (3 fr, 7 r) on a 97 L, with wrx rims. ran my "handling loop" which has some high speed, alot of decreasing radius, and a couple left to rights/right to lefts. came back wearing a HUGH grin. best thing is im only at the lowest setting on the bar. im definitely gonna get in trouble . i cant wait for the 1st auto-x at miller park(5/15)
next warm day im gonna throw the steering bushings in, and do my brakes. driving around with only 3 of 4 brake pistons sucks....
