I was extremely lucky one night to have recovered from a snap oversteer incident in the rain, almost head on into an embankment resulting in a near 360 spin after contact. Every time I think of it, I don't know what I should have done, to have lessened the damage; the ameteur driver I am..

I ended up with scratches on the front and rear bumpers, and a bent rear strut mount. My steering wheel is also slightly off center, to the left. I don't know if there is anything else wrong with the car, but I do notice something really funny about the front right wheel.. I haven't checked it out yet but I will tomorrow.

Well, after all that, I'm now just trying to figure out what I should do. I have koni inserts in the stock shock bodies, so I am thinking of finding a set of blown/used stock shocks.

Does anyone know where I could source some? I know that most anywhere I could get them from, it'll be in pairs or a set of 4; just trying to run through my options... I already spent ~$1000+ for the GC/Koni setup, and with the bent strut mount and one stripped hex part on a shock, that value surely goes down too much to be able to sell the setup towards a new one...

So yeah..any ideas on where to find some donor strut bodies would be helpful.

i have a set... located in CA. on one of the struts the bolt that connects to the top mount is broken off, but you obviously dont need that. let me know if you're interested and make me an offer over $100 + you pay shipping for all 4.

I'll get back to you on that one, but just to make sure, the shocks themselves aren't broken are they?

So what exactly do I get? 4 WRX Struts (2 front/2 rear) with topmounts, no springs, except one topmount has a stud broken off right?

And lastly, are these from an 02-03 or an 04?

i think i may be missing the top mounts the fronts... but its 4 struts from an 03 WRX Sedan. 3 are perfect. driver front is not. the thread on the top of the strut was broken off when my friend who was helping me torqued the nut on with a 400lb/ft torque air gun. For the rears, i dont want to take the assembly apart because i dont have the time as i dont have a spring compressor on hand.

if you were local, i'd probably give em to you for like $20, but since i'd have to ship it, it wouldn't be worth my time for that little. if you cannot find anyone else, let me know and i'll try to help out... but i really wouldn't be making much profit cuz i would need to go to the post office for an hour, ya know.

For future reference and search results, www.subarusuzukikiaparts.com usually has suspension sets in stock. $35 a corner last I checked.
