way to measure pads with ruler?
Hi,
with the WRX and stock wheels I have great access to viewing the backside of the calipers and pads, but I can't really tell how much pad is left without either using specialized mirrors or taking the wheel off and all.
I was wondering if anyone has calculated what the pad wear would be, how many mm left of pad left, given the distance from the rotor to the back of the pad, which distance will be increasingly shorter as the pads wear? Anyone? Thanks!

As long as you have pad wear sensors, they will let you know when you have about 2.5mm of pad material left. Keep in mind that the last third of the pads will go much quicker than the first two due to the fact that there is so much less pad material left to absorb heat.
