Warped my Rotors with new pads
I recently changed my pads front and back to Axis metal masters, stainless steel lines and Ate super blue fluid. Went to the track for a lapping day and they are now warpped. No brake shudder when I apply the brakes, just a squeek every time the brakes hit that spot, at low speeds. It's becoming very annoying. I will most likely be getting them ground down. Bummer, for only 20k miles.
I think its from not letting them cool down enough before parking and letting it sit still. So from now on when my driving session is over I drive around the paddock for 10 minutes.
So those who track their cars, be sure you cool down your brakes after your session of heavy driving/braking.

Metal master is not a track pad
Tom,
Metal Master is an OE replacement pad with a Similiar MOT (maximum operating temperature) to OE. You have overheated the pads and they may be the problem. Inspect your rotors, do you have dark spots? I have never heard of a pad deposition problem starting out as a squeek. Pull out the pads and see if they have started to come apart.
Next lapping day run AXXIS Ultimate. Resurfacing your rotor will not help if you have destroyed your pads.

OK thanks, I will look at the rotors for spots when I get home. I just ordered some Porterfeilds to replace the Metal Masters. So if there are spots on the rotors, are they shot ?
Have you ever heard of having rotors cryo treated ? An instructor at the track says it makes rotors last twice as long.
