TEIN High Tech + KYB AGX

I have the High Techs on my failing stock struts. I don't wanna spend the $ right now to replace everything, so I'm wondering what it would be like to have AGX's with HighTechs. I realize I might be the only one to have such a setup, since it would be not something to aspire to. But use your imagine and think of how the two components would work together. Or if I am just asking for the worst ride possible by doing this interim setup.

Generally it takes about a year... and that about how long it took for my struts to all but wipe the good effects of the sway bar. Other folks have told me about having a similar experience with failing struts.

s tech is more agressive. it's lower by maybe half an inch. H-tech is supposed to be nicer on the shocks than the S-techs, but either way they will eventually wear out.

FYI - High Tech is not the same as H-Tech.

I wish I could find that TEIN advertisement which has the "application circle graph"... it has this plot of performance vs. comfort/looks and plots the components and/or sets appropriately.

ah~ don't be a chicken jason and just get the struts and set it to full stiff hahaha j/k.

i don't know how tein high tech springs are compared to perrins. i used to use perrins+agx and it was farely comfortable at 2nd setting, but oh... stiff as hell at 3 and 4.

i believe #1 setting is stock
#2 is 50% more stiff than #1
#3 is 75% more stiff than #1
#4 is 100% more stiff than #1
but don't quote me on this.. there was a thread about it and I don't remember the exact number.... i just remember it was something around that area. hope you find your solution quick.

Hey r_master, I have the perrin springs on my stock struts in a 98 RS. And the ride is pretty stiff. I was eventually gonna get the agxs' and I was wondering how the settings were. Cuz in my current setup, when I hit pot holes and bad roads, it hurts. Thanks a lot.

High-techs are performance spring ( well.. sports), S-tech are for dress up . . more aggressive look.

H-tech and High-tech TEINS are the same. Call up TEIN-USA or go to
www.TEIN.com

Not to hijack the thread but would any type of lowering springs, even prodrives kill my stock struts? Should I just wait on lowering my car till I can afford a complete spring strut solution?
