I have an '02 OBS w/ rear drums and after driving it for 2 years, I have concluded that rear drums arn't that bad. I took 'em apart the other day to check on the wear. They've barely worn at all, and other than a little dust, they're still pretty clean (and dry). I'm one of those people who uses their brakes to the fullest extent, and as long as the front pads and rotors are in good shape, the rear don't really matter that much...I see no reason to spend several hundred dollars to upgrade the rear from drum to disk.

So for my car whcih needs new brakes badly. If I were to go ahead an get WRX fronts, and keep the rear drums until spring, that would be fine? Considering when the front brake job is done I will not have stock suspension anymore, so the whole front dive will be somewhat eliminated, true?
Rear brake job from drum to disc just costs more or I would do them both at the same time.
