they stiffen the upper part of the suspension and prevent it from flexing in, but the fronts are already close to the firewall so they won't make a big difference. the rears will help more since they flex more. plus a lot of people think they look nice under the hood and in the trunk since they are nice and shiny, colorful, or made of carbon fiber

Remember that besides keeping the chassis stiffer, It also helps keep your suspension geometry true(r) by minimizing deflection. But they are just a small part of the suspension as a whole.

I'd use the 2 part hardened foam to fill the cars frame and rocker panels. I've used it in the past and loved the results. I've already got a kit of it waiting to go into the RS-T.

okay i gotcha now. is it similar to the spray foam used in building houses? did it add much weight?
