Strange Sound`
Ok, so driving to Seattle to have a fun night out with the bros we did a little spiriting driving on some on and off ramps. Here's the setup, not much done to my car so far. 225/50/ZR16's perrin sways (set to the tightest on front and rear), perrin endlinks, invidia turbo back, perrin up pipe, avo wastegate actuator, other small stuff, (and no, I don't have an aftermarket bov lol). So I have a passenger in the front seat and the rear passenger side, and when we start hitting the crazy corner there was a real loud "rubbing" (I guess I would call it) sound. I checked the tires and wheelwells, no rubbing there but the sound was really noticable and I've never heard it before in my life. I'd say the total weight of the two passengers was >400lbs. My alignment is good with slight neg camber. I'm not sure what else could have caused the noise but I'm worried. Anybody have any ideas, I'm sure it's not the tires. Oh and the ground was dry and it was about 60 degrees outside. Oh, (last oh), I've got the regular amsoil 75-90w (not the super 2000) in the tranny and rear diff.
Thanks in advance,
Joel

Yeah my advise would be to try and duplicate the sound again and really listen so you can try and determine what part of the car the sound is coming from... If you can't get the car to do it then just don't let people ride in your car (or take it easier on the corners while hauling them)

If it was a definite rubbing sound and was not the tire on the wheel well, check the sway bar. I have heard of the sway bar rubbing on the tires before during hard cornering. Check that. Does your Perrin sway bar have the stops welded to the bar? The original ones did not and caused problems with the bar "walking" and hence causing it to rub on the wheels.

Yikes!! Rubbing at speed is not good. Tires are 225, eh? And weighted down on a hard corner may rub the fuel nozzle inlet downpipe, no? Just an idea. With good tires, the load on bushings may have added up to be enough to touch something.
Good luck on finding a solution.
