Question STI dust cover

Would it hurt anything to take off the dust cover on the front rotors? It looks like the rotors would be cooler without this cover. This car is mainly used on the track, so I'm trying to cool the rotors as much as possible.

Go for it. I have been planning on it for some time. Just haven't got around to it.
