Steering screwed up after donuts :(
(posted here since it pertains to steering)
So i went out in the mud the other day and did some donuts, very fun might i say, but i broke my car at the same time...
when i take a turn without giving the car power its like there is no power steering, but when i give it a little gas going around a corner it works fine.. what did i do?
my car is '02 wrx (no mods that would cause this problem)
thanx guys in advanced!

You may have burned out your power steering pump by holding the steering wheel at full lock for too long.
Happens every year that 'kids' doing donutz burn up the pump by holding full lock....can't hold full lock or POOF...blown PS pump

Same thing happeend to me... and many where there to watch First change out your steering pump fluid. If its not that, change the pump out. You MIGHT be able to get this fixed under warranty. I did ... of course I didn't go around telling the dealership how I think it happened

Break your car driving like a moron. Have the dealer fix it for free!
So when someone shows up with a real waranty problem, they have jump through hoops to get it fixed.
Thanks.

Well we all experiement with AWD when we first get it I think Combine less knowledge w/ enthusiasm and voila... broken steering pump. I know I am, and I bet Keisatsu (but not Yakker) are wiser for the experience
