SS Brakelines a worthwhile mod?

For a daily driver with stock pads and rotors?

Don't ask why, I just like buying crap for my car...and I like to notice it's presence. But if it's barely noticable I will skip it. FWIW, I have 28k miles on my car and the dealer said the pads have >60% life left on them!

Btw I'm talking about paying ~80 for new Goodridge ones.

Of course. SS lines will greatly improve your brake pedal feel. You will have mode brake feedback.

As far as feeling SS lines, they are definitely worth the money.
IN my 03 WRX, there is noticeably less brake fade, brake pedal travel, and force required to slow down the car. One quick tap can slow the car down a good bit at lower speeds if necessary.
Also, under really hard braking (say from 70mph to zero), the car feels much more sure of itself and will slow much more dramatically than stock.

I'm pretty sure they last forever right? Is there any kind of warranty?

most kits will have all four lines, so don't worry about buying them seperately.

also, when draining the brake fluid, be very careful. that stuff eats paint for breakfast, and is super-toxic. wear gloves.

You gotta get them. Definately worth the 100 or so bucks . They make your brakes last a bit longer, you stop quite a bit better and shorter. Stopping is a lot smoother and ABS seems to be calmer with them. GET THEM. It was my first mod.

noob question: for a high quality coated line like the Stoptech ones, how is their durability/reliability compared to stock rubber lines? Are more inspections/maintenance required? For rubber lines, basically many car owners don't even look at them for the life of their cars (8-10 years/100k miles) and they don't fail...

I cant imagine that if a rubber hose wont fail then a ss one will.
