Pro's and Con's of disconnecting ABS

I tried doing a search unfortunately I did not find the answers I was looking for. Basically I have a 97 OBS that is currently getting a 03 WRX swap. While swapping over the WRX hubs to the OBS. I realized that the ABS sensors are longer for the OBS vs the WRX ones are shorter. Pretty much the OBS ones are to long to fit in the WRX hubs. Well I know what you are thinking why not just put the WRX sensors in and call it a day right? Well those sensors are long gone and to replace them with new ones would be about $100 each.

So after some research on various suby sites I have learned that some people disconnect or even install a kill switch for their ABS while at the track. Now I know the basics of ABS and what it is there for, really I am looking at the pro's and con's of disconnecting this completely. i.e. pulling the fuse

Thanks in advance.
