Outside tire wear - 04 sti

I seem to be having interesting wear on my stock POtenzas. They are wearing on the outside of the tire, rather than on the inside. This is only happening on the fronts, the rears appear to be fine.

I have lowered it about 3/4 of an inch, and had the alignment done back factory specs, or as close as possible.

I suppose I was expecting them to wear on the inside, as other lowered vehicles I have do.

Is this happening to anyone else, and is there a way to correct it?

Cheers.

my '03 WRX w/STi suspension wears the outer egde of the tire more than any other part. this usually happnes because of hard cornering, and the sidewall of the tire rolling and flexing. check your tire pressures, the stock tires on the STi should have a stiffer sidewall than the RE92s. other than that, i'd say it's normal if you corner hard.

So that would, in effect, seems to have the opposite effect when lowering your car?

How strange.

my car is lowered maybe 1/4"-1/2" with STi struts and springs, and i'm running -1 camber up front. it wore the same way when i had the stock springs and struts on, so i don't think it's a byproduct of lowering the car.
