Purchased my 02 wagon used w/ eibach springs & stock shocks.. This setup looks alright but handles like a boat.. i feel like im boncing around and have enough understeer to scare the ish out of me at high speeds.. have thought of just doing the kyb agxs.. but im wondering if will be stiff enough and my other option would be the tein wgns ... have read many a post on both setups and just want to get some opinions on my situation... thanks
oh and im planning to do a cusco rear sway at the time of install..

IMO, getting the KYB AGXs w/ your Eibach springs will definitely improve your ride. Setting the AGXs at #2 setting all around will firm up the car. The firmess of the AGXs are comparable to STI take off struts. Also, if you really want to to dial out some of that understeer, a rear swaybar and endlinks combo will help out quite a bit. For the price of getting the Tein Wgns ($900), you can get yourself the AGXs plus a set of Perrin rear swaybar, Perrin heavy duty mounts and Perrin endlinks w/ money left over for an alignment (a must everytime you tinker w/ your suspension). I am using AGXs and auto-X my car. Just my $.02 in

I used to sport h&r coils on my 1.8t jetta w/frnt & rear sways and absolutly loved it... i mean that is what i could only hope for in the wagon.. except mybudget is more of a factor this time around and i dought i can get the kind of responce with a heavier longer/taller wagon.... Anyone know how stiff the tein wgns are???

According to the TEIN website, the spring rates of the TEIN WGNS are 280 front/ 168 rear. In comparison, the spring rates of the Eibach Wagon specific springs are 170 front/ 160 rear. Although the spring rates of the TEINs are higher, the numbers indicate that the these coilovers are not very stiff and are design for more "show" than "go". If you really want to get coilover, you're better off spending more and getting the FLEX or Cusco Zero2s (if they fit GDA wagon). For the money (as you said, you are of a limited budget), the Eibach/AGX combo w/ the rear swaybar assembly will yield the higher cost/benefit ratio.

The KYB gr2's (cheaper than agx's- non-adjustable) are the exact same thing as the agx's set on #2, you might consider svaing money and getting these (that is, if they make them for the newer model impreza)
