I know some people rock the Ebay strut tower bars, and I would like to know if you (purchaser of said braces) noticed any difference after installing them? I'm not really trying to cut corners with my car, but if they work, and no ones had problems with them then you can't really beat the price. Your input please, thanks

From what I've heard: upper ones don't make really a big difference, lower ones -yes!

Don't know about front strut bars, but my rear strut bars for my wagon definitely make a difference.

My front is an ebay knockoff.

The good:
Bought it used for $15

The bad:

Pink paint flakes off like no tomorrow
Does not look stout, at all. I'm sure it does nothing
The bolts were super weak and stripped easily so I replaced them with $20 worth of hardware. :|

Front may help a little bit, but the mounting point itself is already really close to the firewall. As for the rear... that **** does a helluva lot. I can't give you an input on brand name vs. Ebay, but I will say an addition of a rear strut tower brace to my GC changed the handling characteristics.

As I understand it, the GC Chassis typically responds to (needs) bracing more so than the GD chassis, in general.

Yes and no. Depends. Is the GD more rigid. Answer is yes. Though, from what I've seen, the rotation on the GC is better. That's just an opinion though.

In my experience at autox, rotation is certainly not an issue on GD's with proper alignment.
