Thumbs up Need help choosing Sway Bars and endlinks?

Hey,
I am looking to buy a rear sway bar with endlinks, but I don't know what the best brand is to get. I have heard perrin is good, but i hear they have problems clanking when going into turns. I can get a front and rear sway bar set with hardware and endlinks made my IPD for $300.00. I was wondering if this is a good deal and if it is worth it to get a front sway bar. please let me know of any suggestions you might have. Thanks.

Life is too fast to drive slow.

What are you going to do with the car? Track, autocross, daily driving?

The WRX is pretty stiff up front from the factory due to the USDM required front subframe, so a bigger front swaybar is not really necessary. If you get one, you'll just end up having to go even stiffer on the rear to dial out the understeer.

My suggestion would be to start with an adjustable rear swaybar such as the Whiteline. I had that on my WRX and it performed flawlessly. I would also suggest matching endlinks and rear swaybar mount.

After you get a good feel for that, then you may want to go for the front swaybar and/or increase the stiffness in the rear. Whether you go aftermarket for the front or not, I also suggest changing out the front endlinks.

My old website (which is still up even thought the webhost went out of business) has a write-up on the Whiteline setup: http://mikeegan.stormpages.com/RSway.html

p.s. new site should be up in the next few weeks at http://www.egansworld.com
