More of a general placement of the caliper?

Arrow More of a general placement of the caliper?

This is just a general question... why on some cars is the caliper on the front of the rotor where as our subaru's they are on the back...

Take the Evo and STI... evo has it's brembo's on the fronts, where as the sti has it on the backs of the rotor?

Any pro's or cons to this setup?

Thanks,
-Nigel

Placement really shouldn't matter for stopping ability, unless there's some sort of duct to cool the caliper, in which case it would probably be better to have the caliper on the front...

I don't why they would put the in the front, as you want to keep as much weight closer to the center of the car as possible.

+1 STi

-1 EVO
