Koni's--- These are inserts and require a sacraficial stock strut housing SA's are rebound damping only DA's are separate rebound and compression damping .
For added time and expense.
AGX's---- These are direct replacement single adjust does both comp and rebound.
For taking 2-1/2 years to get here

You guys are comparing apples to oranges.
Koni's are indeed inserts. And you say it "requires a sacrificial strut housing?" Indeed it does, but do you realize it takes 20 minutes per strut to complete? Damn piece of cake if you ask me.
KYB is an excellent budget upgrade with gruppe-s selling them cheaper then the Koni set. I even hear that p-s-t.com is going to offer them at the price for GC8 struts at a low price of $389!
But no matter how you look at it, Koni has always been a better strut/shock aftermarket performance company then KYB has ever been. Koni wins more races, more top cars use koni, etc.
It's your budget on what you want to acomplish.
