Help on BC Coilover

Just install BC Coilover on my car. i was wonder what a good setting on the dampers, it for daily driving car.

i tried setting it more in the front then the rear, then more in the rear and less in the front. it feel the same. when im driving on flat road on uneven surface, i feel bouncy mostly slow speed and can feel little bit in average speed.
but it okay goin over blumps.

If you just installed them, then you want to break them in by setting it to the weakest setting, plus don't forget to get an alignment. On an average, you can go about 2 clicks up everyday you drive, to the point where it gets stiffer and stiffer. I've had a lot of coilover experience with my s13 hatchback when I was all crazy about drifting. Congrats on the coilovers.

i think the setting right now is 10 frt and 7 or 8 rear. so i guess i start from here or start from zero or 1 right. how far do i get to stiffer turn to what #'s.

i planning to get an alignment this week, plus im waiting for my camber bolts to come. i need to put on my front sway bar kits and my strut bars on.

On the track, I was happiest with 12/12. For the street, it does not matter as much. Although these are decent coilover, the dampening adjustment does not seem to be very sensitive meaning little adjustments are really not noticeable. I do like to run same front and rear though as this helps the rear to rotate a little better

For the preload, it should just be snug so that the spring does not move around. Do not compress the spring at all. Your measurement from the top rings to the bottom ring will be different than others depending on the ride height you want. It is a trial and error type of thing. Once oyu get it close, a great idea is to have it corner weighted to get it perfect.

do not preload. They are valved for no preload meaning the srping should be snug so it does not move up or down, but not compressed

is there any downside to leaving the dampening on a medium setting when your breaking them in? kinda forgot to go to the lowest setting

Should be fine/ Most coilovers direct you to go with an initial setting somewhere around half anyways
